Olympus Has Fallen is a 2013 an American thriller action movie directed by Antoine Fuqua from a screenplay written by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt, and this is the very first installment in the Has Fallen movie series. Oblivion

As so many posters seem to agree, this one is a very underrated movie. Exceptional acting, visuals and soundtrack also. Borrows writing tropes familiar to old-school sci-fi loving fans, but many will enjoy that aspect. The unique style with very impressive sense of scale and verticality brings something new regardless. Tom Cruise is great and this adds to his surprising very solid contribution to Sci-Fi movies.

Oceans

Oceans
Oceans

We know that the Most of the Earth’s surface is covered by water; using the brand new technology, filmmakers Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud set out to explore the underwater world. Diving deep into the waters that ultimately sustain all life on Earth, Perrin and Cluzaud capture spectacular footage of the such an amazing beauty and harsh reality of life beneath the waves.

outlander

Outlander
Outlander

Highly underrated film with a very interesting mishmash Sci-Fi genre theme that was quite entertaining. Bad release timing and marketing lapses may have been responsible for it flopping hard and quite a shame as it was one of the better Howard McCain films. It’s a definitely worth to watch and I have re-watched this film many times over and over the years since it’s release. The movie has decent creature effects although the blue screen for people scenes were quite obvious and could have been better.

Outsider

Outsider
Outsider

great story Has very much rich history, accuracy to Japanese culture infused in all scene, such a great acting. There was an intensity in the mysterious and calm character of jared leto. It was skeptical of Jared Leto as the lead but he did an great job for playing a stone cold character. The story brief is After World War II, an American POW stays in Japan and works his way through the rituals and hardships of the yakuza to become a member of the crime organization.

Oculus

Oculus
Oculus

Oculus is a 2013 American super-natural psychological horror movie co-written, edited, and directed by Mike Flanagan. Oculus as very well made psychological thriller (horror) movie. It does not drag the story unnecessarily, everyone’s acting is deep and justifies the characters. There is no unnecessary jump scare with loud background music.

Okja

This movie is totally captivating. Commercial hybridization of animals for food can become reality any time with this massive increasing human population and the environmental impacts of livestock farming. It should be noted that whether the animals were born in the natural process or through biotechnology, it is seen that they too have emotions, are sentient and feel pain. It also shows the disgusting, ugly side of corporates that they can do anything to look good at the outside while hiding their dark nature, even to the point of emotionally black-mailing and using a young girl.

Old

Old

Old: Four families/couples end up on a strange beach attached to an exclusive resort and yes: they are all unhappy in their own ways. This along with illnesses contribute to their distress when they find that time is speeding up for them. They first notice it as the ageing process is more apparent in children but soon a elderly woman dies. Attempts to escape are baffled as they are repulsed by a gap in the cliffs and strong currents. People age two years for each passing hour. While there are a couple of jump shocks the horror here is mostly of a psychological nature, as existential terror spreads amongst them, children become adults, paranoid schizophrenia leads to murder. Some good performances from an ensemble cast, especially Rufus Sewell as a demented doctor. Some of the usual tropes do crop up, they all found out about the resort accidentally and the resort manager promises them that it’s a special beach. A satisfying horror/thriller/mystery which has secrets revealed towards the end. Written & Directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

Ouija : Origin Of Evil

Ouija 2 is a horror thriller which makes us thrilled in many of the scenes. The first half has only some scary moments but coming to the second half it gives us the back story and makes us understand the back story. The film also tells about the relationship of the family. The second half it has many scary moments. The film also shows how the Ouija board makes people working. Overall, the movie is an entertaining horror thriller which can make you fear by watching it alone.

Overlord

This is such a wonderful film to watch if your a fan of WW2 movies and zombie movies. So the movie is about an American soldier named Boyce who survives a plane crash and he’s in the woods in France. He then joins some of his comrades who survived. They then go to a village and learn some pretty dark secrets and the truth about the village and that one church. They also get some help from a young woman named Chloe and her little brother, Paul.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Right from the first Wilhelm Scream, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood arrives on the screen in that unique Quentin Tarantino style. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, this tenth film of Tarantino’s has DiCaprio as a fading TV star, Pitt as his stuntman, and Robbie as their neighbor, Sharon Tate. Anyone familiar with the Manson murders will know the name Sharon Tate, she is, unfortunately, known more for her brutal murder than her acting career. The Manson Family lurk in the background of the movie, and like an approaching storm start to make their presence felt all throughout. It’s one of those movies where not a lot happens, but it feels like a lot goes on. It is just over two hours long, and the bulk of it is a luscious dive into late 1960s colour, fashion, and style. Then, right at the end, strap yourself in because Tarantino unleashes.

Once Upon A Time In America

Once Upon A Time In America

Once Upon a Time in America transports you into a different world through its haunting score and staggering cinematography. The film is a walking paradox, with a warm and soul-filled atmosphere that juxtaposes with the cold, honourless characters. It masterfully balances the gritty nature of the prohibition, with the emotional depth involved in the character’s journey from childhood friends, to feared gangsters, to distant and guilt ridden strangers. The film is like no other, and stands as one of the greatest cinematic achievements of all time.

Ong Bak Part 1, 2, 3.

With the climax being the heart of the movie, Tony Jaa has shown his fighting prowess with a yet again emotional pack of thoughts. This is a brilliant movie series which has not only Incorporated in itself the martial arts fighting but also the environment suitable for supporting the stories of the important individual entities of the movie. On the whole, this movie series really deserves more audience than it ever had.

This film is engrossing, from start to finish, not the kind of film you can get up and walk away from. Kiera Knightly is excellent as Katharine Gun, the woman with a conscience and the moral integrity that both the US and the UK governments were lacking at the time. Ralph Fiennes is great as the lawyer who defends her and both are backed up by an excellent cast.

Old Henry
